Very happy educator who taught elementary school and is now retired from teaching. I am married to Jeff and he is a wonderul husband... he works in downtown Huntsville...I have a terrific son, Allen and he is married to a lovely girl, Dawn and she is a teacher also, we have a beautiful grandaughter Kaylen. I have one sister, Christy, who is an educator.... she is a principal and so is her husband Wayne. To all those who are teaching or have taught school I hope you know the impact you have on the lives of those students you teach...Teaching is the profession that makes all other professions possible....think about it... So if you taught or have a person in your family that is in education we all have something in common....we have taught students to read, write, understand problem solving, math, etc. and how to become a better citizen of the United States of America...and hopefully we touched and made an impact on those students we taught. I believe I was meant to teach and I enjoyed it!....it was not always a perfect situation ...like other professions nothing is perfect, but it is rewarding when you see your students and they remember you and want to talk to you about being in your class... it is rewarding experience to me ....so educators....I hope you realize the great job you do and keep on keeping on ....the students need you....until it is time for you to retire and look back on your teaching career and you can SMILE with the memories of accomplishment.
